Research Interest

mechanical properties of lung and airway cells; pathophysiology of pulmonary emphysema and bronchial asthma;

Current Research

My recent works were to clarify the regulation of Ca2+ signaling and contraction of airway smooth muscle. Now, to investigate the pathophysiology of emphysema, I began to measure the mechanical properties and image of the connective tissue fiber networks of lung tissues in animal models.
